OUR JOURNEY OF HOPE   (CANCER CARE MINISTRY)

“Loving people through meeting their spiritual, physical, and emotional needs.”

Matthew 25:34-36 (KJV)
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

OJOH is a Cancer Care Ministry with a burden to provide HOPE to those fighting cancer. From the time a person is diagnosed with cancer until they are declared to be cancer free; we want to be there for them. Cancer effects a person's mind, body, and spirit.

This ministry is a one on one ministry to the cancer patient, care giver, and family. We attempt to provide home visits, hospital visits, phone calls, get-well cards, emails, prayer, meals, help with household chores, and loving support from Eastwood Baptist Church.

Our first team of 14 trainees graduate on April 3, 2016. They are currently ministering to numerous families in our church and our community.

We see this Ministry not only reaching those within Eastwood Baptist Church but also church family members, neighbors, coworkers, and residents in our community.
