Lee Martin is our Minister of Missions and Church Revitalization. "Brother Lee", as he prefers to be called brings over 45 years of ministry experience to the staff of Eastwood. His experience comes from a wide ranging variety from working with college students in New Mexico, to homeless ministry in Oklahoma, to Police Officers in Kansas. He and his wife, Ellen, have been missionary associates of North American Mission Board (NAMB) since 1983, retiring in 2007 and moving to the Atlanta area in 2015.
Lee's function is to serve as the bridge between Eastwood and our missionary partners all over the world. His mission is to lead our church in the support of local, national, and global missions and to train our people to live their lives on mission for the Kingdom of Christ. He believes that every individual has a call to be a missionary in the places they live and work and the only thing that limits our ability to minister to our communities is our lack of imagination.
Along with coordinating relationships with our missionaries and overseeing those relationships, Lee works with our Senior Pastor to understand and develop church revitalization methods which seek to reach our communities for Christ and carry out the vision of our leadership.
Lee's favorite Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
When it comes to music, you name it and he likes it. He is a gifted artist using his skills to paint as a way to share Christ with others.
Lee's favorite quote is, "If nobody loves you, create the demand."
