Pastor Justin has been serving as the Senior Pastor at Eastwood Baptist Church since January 12, 2014. He previously served on staff at EBC as the Associate Pastor under the leadership of Mike Hatton, and he has served in various ministerial roles since the age of 17. Justin was raised under the ministry of his grandfather and uncle and has a heart for pastoral leadership. His desire is to challenge God's people to grow in their intimacy with Christ and to invite the unbeliever into a personal relationship with their Creator.
Having been raised in a Godly home, Justin considers himself blessed with a Christian heritage. His parents taught him the importance of having a relationship with Jesus Christ and how to increase the intimacy in that relationship so that he could experience the benefits of Christ in this present world. He and his twin brother have always been motivated to live their lives in a way that glorifies Christ, always desiring to never do anything that would bring shame to His holy name. He is thankful that his big God can use a small-town man from Cohutta, Ga.
Justin is a graduate of Kennesaw State University with a B.S. in Mathematics and is currently enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at Luther Rice University and Seminary. He desires to further his study of God's Word in order to effectively communicate the transforming power contained within its pages.
When he is not studying or ministering, Justin is spending time with his beautiful wife, Sydnee, and their Bulldog. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, watching the Atlanta Braves or the Georgia Bulldogs, and visiting with family and friends. God created Justin with an extreme passion for sports and the outdoors. He intends to use this passion as a railway for the Gospel as he seeks to lead the young adults in the community to Jesus Christ through these shared interests.
Romans 12:1-2 has been a key passage of Scripture in Justin's life since the day he fully surrendered to God's call into full-time ministry. Justin has devoted himself as a living sacrifice to God saying, "Jesus gave his life for me, the least I can do is devote my life to Him."
